   the relationship between work/family interference and teachers' burnout: moderating role of emotional intelligence

چکیده    Teaching process has the valuable and important role on learners’ learning and progress, somehow on one society’s progress. there are a lot of work / family interferences for teachers and it causes a lot of problems for them which can have influence on their teaching process and learner’s learning progress then on society’s progress. this study aimed to investigate the relationship between work/family interference and teachers’ burnout considering the moderating role of emotional intelligence among efl high school teachers. the participants of this study is (155 efl high school teachers) in golestan province, iran. also, the sampling strategy was informed by convenience sampling. the instrument to assess work/family interference derived from the scale of five-item scale developed by netemeyer, boles and mcmurrian (1996). also, the maslach burnout inventory-educators survey (mbi-es) will be used to assess burnout, using a 22-item scale, developed by maslach and susan e. jackson.,(1996). moreover, emotional intelligence is measured by using the wong and law emotional intelligence scale. the results of this study have practical implications for educational system, teachers and learners alike. also, the results revealed that there is a statistically significant relationship between work/family interference and teachers’ burnout considering the moderating role of emotional intelligence among efl high school teachers in golestan province
