This paper aimed to examine the relationship between l2 teachers’ and learners’ age range and online working experience with their adaptability for using online technologies in their classrooms during the covid-19 pandemic. to that end, two questionnaires were adapted and used, one of which was targeted at 112 teachers and the other one at 225 learners, with each consisting of 30 items. in addition, an interview was also conducted with 35 of these l2 teachers and 40 of the l2 learners to gain a more in-depth understanding of their attitudes towards the use of online technologies during the pandemic. the results indicated a negative relationship between l2 teachers’ and learners’ age range with their adaptability for using online technologies in their classes and a positive relationship between l2 teachers’ and learners’ online working experience with the adaptability of online technologies in their classes. the interview also indicated l2 teachers’ and learners’ positive mixed perspectives on the use of online education during the covid-19 pandemic and their tendency towards using these technologies in situations other than the covid-19 pandemic and other emergency situations. the majority of l2 teachers and learners stated that the use of technology can generate a very rich environment, even in their post-covid-19 classes, leading to better educational strategies and better learning.
