چکیده
|
Training critical literate learners is one of the most significant issues within the field of language education. the issue of critical literacy and its application on textbook evaluation had been discussed in lots of studies. in this regard, some of the major studies conducted with respect to this issue are reviewed. the purpose of this article is to describe the current state of knowledge and practice in the evaluation of vision and prospect textbooks and to provide guidance for material developers and instructors by critically appraising and summarizing existing research. articles published between 2019 and 2022 were reviewed, and 10 articles were included for a detailed analysis and synthesis. the result indicated that careful consideration of the warnings and recommendations made in the literature can help to produce effective textbooks or at least aware teachers to filled their gaps.
