|
The purpose behind the current study was to examine the potential impacts of introversion and extroversion on the issue of efl teachers immunity. the novel concept of teacher immunity in language teaching is proposed by hiver and dörnyei (2017) as the protection mechanisms of teachers that are consciously or unconsciously applied to diminish the turbulences and damages posed on their enthusiasm, individuality, and practice. to gather valid data, the teacher immunity questionnaire developed by hiver (2016) as well as the eysenck personality questionnaire (epq) questionnaires was handed out to 50 experienced iranian efl teachers. the obtained results did not reveal any significant relationship between the personality traits including extroversion and introversion and teachers immunity. more suggestions for further researchers are offered in the final parts that might be applied by researchers, teachers, stakeholders, and policymakers to help teachers raise their immunity against stressors and avoid burnout and fatigue.
