A positive relationship has been witnessed in recent past among job satisfaction and performance. furthermore, it has also been observed through many of previous research studies that psychological empowerment affect the job satisfaction of teachers. therefore, this research study intends to investigate the mediating role of psychological empowerment among iranian efl teachers. the data was collected from 167 efl teachers working in the top schools and institute in gorgan, iran. the result of the study indicates that psychological empowerment has a defining role in the relationship between job satisfaction and performance of the efl teachers. the study will help the top management the influence of psychological empowerment to increase the job satisfaction level which ultimately lead to higher efl teachers’ performance.
