   the investigation between student's sense of classroom community and learner's age in efl context

چکیده    Motivational factors contributing to learner’s achievement has always been an important issue to english language teaching (elt) research. with all these details, this paper investigates to determine whether there is any association between efl learners ‘age and their sense of classroom community (socc)using rovai s ssocc scale which was adapted to the iranian efl context in iran language institute (ili) branches in gorgan, golestan. for this aim, 265young adults efl learners mostly between the ages10 to 15 were investigated and the results through kruskal-wallis test indicated that the students in run levels (the primary levels in ili) experience a higher sense of classroom community than the students in reach (the ending defined levels in ili) and race (the middle levels defined in ili) levels respectively. the amount of students sense of classroom community is higher among lower-level learners, which is decreased by students age and level. this can be taken into account as a good reason to revise this instructional curriculum. the implications are discussed in the light of the relevant literature.
