In today s world, which is called the information age, educational systems are faced with a huge wave of changes. although the introduction of information technology to schools can change the educational system, the application of information technology faces barriers. the purpose of this research was to identify the barriers to the use of information technology among aliabad katoul high school english language teachers. also, detailed objectives included investigating the barriers of human infrastructure to the use of information technology, investigating the barriers of equipment infrastructure to the use of information technology, investigating the barriers of cultural infrastructure to the use of information technology, comparison of the average scores of human, equipment, and cultural infrastructure barriers, identifying the main barriers to the use of information technology, and determining the main elements of barriers to the use of information technology according to importance among aliabad katoul high school english language teachers. the research method is descriptive and contextual. the statistical populations under study were aliabad katoul high school english language teachers (27 male teachers and 5 female teachers) who were selected by stratified random sampling method by gender based on krejcie and morgan table. in order to collect the data, the standard questionnaire of dr. mohammad javad zanganeh was used, which was an answer packet with 43 questions and 5 options that were set based on the likert scale. content and face validity were used to determine its validity, and cronbach s alpha method was used to determine its reliability, and the alpha coefficient was calculated as 0.918. descriptive, inferential statistics and factor analysis with varimax rotation with sas and spss software were used to analyze the data. the results of the research showed that the weakness of human, equipment, and cultural infrastructure prevent aliabad katoul high school english language teachers from using information technology. also, there was a significant difference between the average scores obtained in human, equipment and cultural infrastructure. based on the findings of factor analysis, 43 variables were placed in 12 factors, as motivational, equipment-technical, cultural, human, economic-financial, educational infrastructure, access, social, professional abilities, payment of user benefits, filtering and lack of technology design specialists barriers.
