   examining the relationship between cultural intelligence with self-concept and self-esteem among iranian efl teachers

چکیده    Nowadays, teachers should consider new skills in their teaching methods to get students to participate in the lessons. they need to understand cultural differences as well as cultural intelligence as a factor that can improve self-concept, self-esteem, and reduce teachers inefficiency. therefore, this study aimed to investigate the between cultural intelligence with self-concept and self-esteem among iranian efl teachers. participants of the study consisted of 74 iranian efl teachers aged between 20 and up to 35 years old with 1–up to 15 years of teaching experience (language institutes, state schools, and private language teacher) from different cities of iran, who were selected according to their willingness to participate in the present study. there were 58 females and 16 males. they mostly majored in english teaching (2 other qualification certificates, 6 diploma, 30 b.a., 35 m.a., 1 ph. d) in iran who were selected according to their willingness to participate in the present study. three different questionnaires were used to collect the relevant data in this study including 1) teachers cultural intelligence questionnaire (earley& ang, 2003), 2) self-concept questionnaire (romans, martin, & mullen, 1996).), and 3) self-esteem (rosenberg, 1965). the present research project was a quantitative and descriptive correlational survey study. the collected raw data were analyzed with spss version 22. the results of statistical analyses, namely pearson correlation analysis revealed that there were statistically significant relationships between teachers cultural intelligence, self-concept, and self-esteem. in particular, the results revealed that teachers self-concept and self-esteem can predict their cultural intelligence. the obtained results are discussed in light of the literature. the results also have some implications for the main stakeholders including administrators and teachers which are presented.
