The prevalence of world englishes in today’s english language communication-especially in scientific contexts and needs for oral communication appears to have made the wes increasingly relevant to teil since one of the goals of esp is to equip the learners or experts to be able to communicate effectively and internationally. english oral communication among experts, who grew in their own cultures with specific english-speaking proficiency, reinforces the essentialities of calling english language teaching (elt) programmers for specific purposes /esp to consider the wes. speaking english is particularly irresistible in the efl multi-varietal scientific context of universities, where technologically and scientifically, speakers and world s experts from different cultural regions or countries need to interact with each other. this study shows the effectiveness of teachers and esp learners wes conceptualization on oral communication at the end of english language intensive course / elic-sp, in iranian english and medical universities, guilan province.
