   the relationship between resilience, mindset and learning achievement among iranian efl learners

چکیده    Resilience has been one of the controversial concepts in elt; however, little has been known on its less-approached facets. accordingly, the present study sought to find out there is any relationship between resilience, mindset and language achievement among the iranian efl learners. to do so, 90 iranian efl learners from intermediate levels were selected through convenience sampling as participants. to collect data, three instruments were used: mindset questionnaire (dweck, 2008), resilience, questionnaire (connor & davidson, 2003), and michigan test of english language proficiency. the gathered data were analyzed in the spss. first, the normality test, k-s test along with shapiro wilk test was run to see if the data were normal. since they were normal, the parametric statistical procedure of pearson correlation test was run to find out whether there would be any relationship between the variables. the results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between iranian efl learners’ resilience and language achievement. in addition, there is a positive and significant relationship between mindset and language achievement too. the obtained results are discussed in the light of the relevant literature. as pedagogical implications, teacher educators need to teach teachers how to enhance learners’ resilience.
