چکیده
|
The aim of this study was to know the learners and teachers’ perception on the online reading comprehension learning at iran language institute of bushehr, iran. the study utilized a descriptive quantitative design to investigate the opinions of the respondents. the participants were 30 students and 18 teachers who had been studying or teaching at the upper-intermediate levels at iran language institute. the instruments used to collect the data were questionnaires. the obtained data were then analyzed using spss software version 26. the results of the analysis showed that the benefits of online reading had positively affected the knowledge of learners' comprehension and that students had strongly focused on the educational objectives and improved reading skills. on the other hand, teachers agreed with the teaching practices they follow, and they also believed that they had great confidence in the efficacy of online classes they conducted with regard to the instruction of “reading comprehension”. however, they were not satisfied with the results of their oral assessment of summarizing or reading comprehension. this result also showed great satisfaction with their performance among teachers who attended online classes. they also believe that shy students can be involved in the learning process in online classes more effectively and easily than traditional face to face classes in which these students feel uncomfortable.
