   on the relationship between iranian efl teachers' professional identity, discipline strategies and their perspective towards effective teaching

چکیده    Teachers play crucial roles in any educational system and it seems that any factor related to teachers should be taken with care. the major objective of the current study is to find the interrelationship between three variables namely teachers` professional identity, effectiveness, and discipline. also, this study assesses how these factors may affect iranian efl teachers` classroom performance. among the available model for professionalism, the researchers based their study on the right-based deep theory. the participants were 211 iranian efl teachers who had various teaching experiences. to gather the required data, three questionnaires were employed and standard error of measurement (sem) was used for data analysis. the results of the study confirmed that there is a positive relationship between teachers’ professional identity and their effectiveness. on the other hand, teachers’ professional identity and their effectiveness were positively correlated although the loading was different in each. the findings of this study have different implications for language teachers and researchers. the results of structural equation modeling (sem) analysis confirmed the hypothesized model of relationships among the study variables.
