   efl teachers’ perceptions of the advantages and cchallenges of educational digital video-games

چکیده    Technology in general and digital games in particular have been integrated to education and language teaching since a couple of decades ago. results of the related studies pointed out that games have positive and negative consequences for language learners most particularly young language learners. however, despite the significance of educational games in primary education, the number of studies on the impact of educational digital games and outdoor games on young language learners seems to be scanty. this study aimed at exploring the teachers’ attitudes towards educational games. to do so, a phenomenology research method was employed and 10 efl teachers were selected through purposive sampling. results showed that teachers have positive attitudes towards educational games; however, they are concerned with negative consequences such as mental and physical problems caused by educational digital games. the findings can be used by efl teachers, language learners, and the students’ parents.
