the effect of using podcast and vodcast on learning phrasal verbs among iranian efl learners

Nowadays, technology has become an inseparable part of almost every discipline including language teaching and learning. meanwhile, a big challenge for foreigners in learning english is the phrasal verbs that can have different meanings in different contexts. so, the present study was designed aiming to study the effect of using podcast and vodcast on learning phrasal verbs among iranian efl learners. two groups (n=30) of intermediate level iranian efl learners participated in the study. podcasts containing some phrasal verbs were sent to group a in 10 separate sessions and vodcasts to group b through mobile phone. the researcher-developed test on phrasal verbs was administered to the participants using the link in testmoz.com website as pre and post-test. the results of the paired-t test showed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores in using podcasts and vodcasts (p=.000). additionally, the scores of vodcast group was significantly higher than the podcast group(p=.000). vodcast is recommended to be used in teaching english phrasal verbs to iranian efl learners.
