چکیده

Teacher talking time (ttt) is the amount of time that teacher talks in the classroom. the more teacher talks, the less learners talk. since the aim of teaching english as a foreign language (efl) is to produce language in the form of writing or speaking, ttt should be as little as it could be. in this study, we investigated classrooms that use adobe connect as their platform. mainly, in these classes there are two reasons why ttt is increased. when it comes to learners talking time, they do not use adobe connect tools such as microphone to talk or even they do not type in the chat box to communicate. the other point why ttt is more is that teacher’s lesson plan is based on teacher-centered approaches. this study aims to investigate the influence of teaching talking time on students’ learning. the data were drawn from iranian efl teachers and learners who use adobe connect as the platform of teaching and learning. the results show that learners who engage in classroom activities learn better than those who do not participate in pair or group activities. it is also proven that guided discovery is a better teaching shape, and it results in using more efficient teaching methods and applying adobe connect tools by the teacher and more successful learning in the case of students.
