چکیده
|
Researchers have long been interested in the characteristics associated with “good” teaching and assessment. however, most relevant studies have been conducted in western contexts. as context influences the way good teaching is perceived, it was considered important to explore this issue in a none- western country. for this purpose, the present study was done to explore efl school teachers’ perceptions of the characteristics of good (efl) assessors in iranian context. to achieve this goal, the researcher interviewed 26 efl teachers to find out their views about the issue. data were collected and then analyzed through content analysis and grounded theory procedure. based on the analyses, it was found that teachers’ responses concentrated on four categories, namely, assessment literacy, ethics, personality and assessment beliefs.
