چکیده    The islamic golden age, from the 8th to the 13th century, created a very great exchange between the worlds of arabs and persians, chronicled by arab travelers across iran. these travelers left invaluable accounts that peep into iranian society, customs, religion, and intellectual life while recording their travel to the country for trade, pilgrimage, intellectual curiosity, and thirst for adventure. their observations reflect deep admiration for persian achievements in literature, art, architecture, and science. this research looks at these narratives for the image of iran and persian culture that comes out of their writings. the paper shows the dynamic cultural borrowing between the two civilizations and how much persian culture contributed to the development of islamic civilization. by observing these accounts of history, one brings to light the perpetual presence of persian culture and its depth in the larger islamic world.
