|
Seed germination and seedling growth are the key to plant survival. saline-alkaline stress can cause serious damage to plants and even death. in this study, osmoregulator peg and plant growth regulator ethephon (eth donor) are selected to carry out germination test on the germination of sorbus pohuashanensis embryos under saline-alkaline stress, and the physiological indexes of embryos and seedlings during germination were detected. we find that both peg and ethephon with appropriate concentrations promote the dormancy release and germination and alleviate the negative effects of saline-alkaline stress by regulating the balance of endogenous hormones, reducing the accumulation of ros, increasing the activity of antioxidant enzymes and no synthesis and metabolism. the results of this study provide a reference for the cultivation of s. pohuashanensis resilient species and the conservation of its germplasm resources.
