Seeds of cotton seeds (gossypium hirsutum l.) were exposed to six treatments of non-delinted + (control (non-coating), sap, a (20 gr npk / 2 lit sap), b (40 gr npk / 2 lit sap), c (80 gr npk / 2 lit sap), e (50 gr zn-sulphate / 2 lit sap)) and d (delinted cotton seeds). a factorial experiment based on completely randomized design was implemented in four replications in order to determine standard germination and vigor indices of treated cotton seeds. results derived from analysis variance demonstrated that normal seedling percentage showed no significant difference among all assessed treatments. indices of mean germination time (mgt), rate index (ri), and radicle length showed 1% probability and length index of seedling vigor had significant difference at 5% probability. cotton lint degradation process indicated that cause increasing germination rate compare with cotton with lint, but length index of seedling vigor after delingting will decline. seed-coating treatments, b (40gr npk / 2l sap) and e (50gr zn-sulphate) on non-delinted seeds could partially solve problems related to germination rate and enhance cotton seedling vigor compared to other treatments. hence, it was suggested that non-delinted cotton seeds along with nutrients coating were used to upgrade germination rate and seedling vigor of cottonseeds.
