چکیده    Introduction: transplanting netted plants on a suitable base reduces water consumption and increases fruit quality and yield. currently, the most important limitation for the development of this technology in iran is the high cost of grafting due to the fact that suitable basic seeds are imported. interspecies hybrids of pumpkin (squash x pumpkin) are of great importance for transplanting netted plants due to their strong root system, resistance to diseases and living and non-living stresses. this research was conducted with the aim of finding suitable genotypes for the production of interspecies hybrid seeds of pumpkin and pumpkin and evaluating the obtained hybrids.. materials and methods: in this research, several interspecies hybrids of pumpkin were produced using genetic synthesis and tissue culture methods. to evaluate these hybrids, experiments were conducted in controlled and field conditions. various parameters such as the percentage of successful grafting, root growth and absorption of water and nutrients were investigated. also, the effects of hybrids on yield and quality of cantaloupe fruits under different growing conditions were also evaluated. results and discussion: the results showed that interspecies pumpkin hybrids not only showed a successful grafting percentage, but also could significantly increase the yield and quality of cantaloupe fruits. these results indicate that the use of interspecies hybrids can be considered as an effective strategy to improve yield and disease resistance in cantaloupe production.
