   the effect of some coating materials in reducing the damage caused to edible onion seed embryos during drought stress (image analysis of seed embryos)

چکیده    Onion seeds have a poor shelf life compared to other crops. loss of seed viability by degradation of cellular components including dna, rna and proteins (yalamalle et al., 2020). abiotic stresses may be caused by drought stress or salinity stress. in this article, we studied drought stress and chemical seed treatments and coatings that have the potential to improve the harmful effects of transient abiotic stress (dvoryashina, 2021). based on this, by conducting this experiment, we tried to test this issue on onion seeds as well, and study the effect of drought stress on gin with the help of image analysis. although the effect of stress conditions on the quality characteristics of productive seeds such as the germ index is clear. however, changes in the appearance of embryos under the influence of these stresses have not yet been properly investigated. therefore, based on the image analysis (photographed with a stereo microscope using mosaic 2.1 software), it was investigated. this experiment was done factorially in a completely randomized design with three replications (tavakkol afshari,2024).
