چکیده

Selective laser melting (slm) methods is attracting considerable interests as it produces parts with superior quality and it can overcome the geometry complexity. although the slm method is commonly utilized for the fabrication of metallic components, process parameters must be specified in order to create a part with the appropriate mechanical qualities while minimizing the development of defects. the purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of process factors such as laser speed and laser power on residual deformation and residual stresses by simulating powder melting, solidification, and evaporation. it aims to provide more accurate findings by taking evaporation into account in the thermo-plastic examination of slm. the thermo-mechanical properties of all five phases (powder, melting, mushy zone, solidified, and vapor) were considered to be temperature-dependent. a finite element (fe) simulation was performed to numerically investigate the effects of process parameters on the residual deformations. the results revealed that residual deformation stabilizes after the second layer and increases with the number of tracks, with the first track having the lowest residual deformation values and the fourth track having the greatest. the effects of laser speed and power on residual information were also studied.
