موقعیت ژئوپلیتیکی و ژئواستراتژی ج.ا.ایران را به یک بازیگر فعال منطقهای و بینالمللی تبدیل نموده است. لازمه هرگونه اقدام و عملیات نظامی در جنگ صرف‌نظر از بخش اجرایی، اعمال فرماندهی و کنترل بر آن است. در جریان قرار گرفتن فرمانده‌ از روند عملیات را نظارت بر اجرا و یا کنترل می‌نامند. فرمانده بر اساس یک سلسله اقدامات ستادی فرمان یا دستوری صادر می‌کند که باید به مرحله اجرا گذارده شود و لازم است در جریان مراحل اجرای این دستورها نیز قرار گیرد تا در صورت لزوم برحسب وضعیت، برای اجرای کامل آن، دستورهای تکمیلی بعدی را نیز صادر نماید. ضرورتاً ارتباط از c4i و جنگال و مدیریت عملیاتی فرماندهی و کنترل نیروی مشترک مورد پژوهش قرار گرفت. نوع پژوهش کاربردی، روش اجرای پژوهش توصیفی و رویکرد پژوهش آمیخته است. جمع‌آوری اطلاعات به دو روش میدانی و کتابخانه‌ای و با استفاده از مصاحبه، اسناد و مدارک انجام گرفته است. سوال اصلی پژوهش عبارتست از: فرماندهی و کنترل در نیروی مشترک چگونه است؟ نتیجه پژوهش طراحی ارتباط و مخابرات نیروی مشترک و مدیریت عملیاتی فرماندهی و کنترل نیروی مشترک است.
