Cavity solitons have attracted a lot of attention in nonlinear optics due to their potential ability tobe used in all-optical logic circuits as information bits. self-pulsing dynamics of cavity solitons can add newfeatures to these optical logic elements, such as excitable and collective behavior. semiconductor lasers withsaturable absorbers is one of the suitable platforms to realize such dynamics for cavity solitons, which is usedin this article to study the switching conditions and also the dynamics of self-pulsing cavity solitons.keywords: cavity solitons, self-pulsing, saturable absorbers
