چکیده    The lut block is located between two big north-south faults, naiband and nehbandan. the compressive forces on the area have caused the displacements along these faults to be strike-slip and shear. in such a regime, the mechanism of shape change is at the lowest intensity, but the opening of fractures is at the highest level. likewise, the volcanic phenomenon was intense and continuous, and younger lavas successively covered the previous rocks and created extensive block volcanic rocks (nogul sadat, 1978). the magmatic activity of northern lut started from the late cretaceous, i.e. more than 77 million years ago, and has continued for 5 million years. the magmatic rocks of basalt, andesite, dacite, rhyolite lavas are also a lesser amount of semi-deep intrusions. . the geochemical characteristics of these rocks show that they are all calc-alkaline and all the volcanic forms of the continental side, the border of convergent plates are seen in them. determining radiometric age by rubidium-strontium method shows that the origin of most rocks is from the mantle and away from any mixing with the crust. only in some of the persilis ignimbrites, signs of crustal pollution can be seen (emami, 1379). , 1972) and the southern margin volcanoes of lut are part of the magmatic arc of makran subduction zone.
