artificial intelligence is actually a technology that somehow has the ability to think in relation to input and trained data. of course, this ability to think is very different from what we know as human thinking, but in fact it tries to imitate it. in the meantime, researchers have presented a new artificial intelligence called sam, artificial intelligence sam is an image segmentation model that can respond to user requests to separate certain objects in an image. image segmentation is a process in computer vision that involves dividing an image into multiple segments or regions so that each object in the desired region can be located. this technology is useful for web page understanding, augmented reality applications, image editing, and aiding in the scientific study of animals or objects for tracking in video. sam artificial intelligence is a remarkable model due to its ability to identify objects in the training dataset and its semi-open approach. the introduced model uses more than 1 billion masks and 11 million images in the analysis of input data. in this research, we introduced the sam artificial intelligence model and we hope that based on the researchers findings, we will share research and datasets in the field of segmentation. we can speed up the research related to image and video segmentation. a fast segmentation model can perform segmentation tasks as a component in a larger system. in the near future, the introduced model will have unique applications for identifying underwater objects, metaverse environment, and images and videos.
