   copper (ii) schiff-base complex supported on fe3o4@sio2 nanoparticles: preparation, characterization, in-vitro anti-fungal ability against candida albicans and its cytotoxic evaluation

چکیده    The mortality rate has increased in patients susceptible to fungi infections due to compromised immune systems. candida albicans make biofilms during the growth process, which makes them more resistant to conventional drugs being approved as antifungals. nano metal complexes have gained attention as they possess high surface area and small sizes, which paves the way for penetration to the membranes of fungi. in this study, we have synthesized and characterized the fe3o4@sio2/schiff-base complex of cu (ii) by ft-ir, xrd, dls, tem, sem, edx, and tga techniques. the antifungal behavior of cu nps was investigated against candida albicans by the microdilution method, in which the inhibition concentration of cu nps was 32 μg/ml. also, the mtt evaluation verified the non- cytotoxicity of the cu (ii) nanoparticles.
