Aim and background: design and development of rapid, precise, sensitive and specific molecular detection assay is important challenges in bio-medical and food safety. nanotechnologies approaches such as conjugated nanoparticle with biomolecules in the role of specific recognizer is one of the advanced technologies that leads to novel nanomolecular detection system. the current study introduce a nanomolecular colorimetric assay for the detection of meat adulteration, which is considered one of the prevalent challenges in the field of food safety and the halal industry in islamic societies.methods: a colorimetric nanomolecular assay based on magnetic nanoprobes was designed to myoglobin isolation and identification as the main differential biomarker between various protein sources. the samples in this research were examined by the nanomolecular colorimetric method in terms of the presence or absence of meat adulterations. results were compared with gold standard method (pcr) in terms of accuracy.results and discussion: investigations have shown that the proposed nanomolecular colorimetric method can detect adulterated meat products with specificity and sensitivity comparable to the standard pcr method.conclusion: nanomolecular detection assay to identify pork-adulterated meat based on magnetic nanoprobes has the possibility to detect adulterated meat in raw, processed and cooked meat products with naked eye without the need for sample preparation, pretreatment and specialized equipment.
