چکیده    Aim and background: the production of suitable protection against x-rays has attracted the attention of many researchers due to its many applications in industry and medicine. methods: to production of x-ray shielding, was performed using pvc polymer nanofibers containing different concentrations of wo3 (10-35) wt.% by electrospinning. in order to achieve suitable x-ray shielding, thickness, linear attenuation coefficient and half-value layer of produced samples were investigated. a scanning electron microscope(sem) was used to characteristic the morphology of the nanofiber surface. the ability of x-ray attenuation of the electrospun samples was determined using the x-rf unit at different voltages (20-35 kv). results and discussion: based on this research, the attenuation coefficient of the produced samples was compared with xcom prediction and all the electrospun samples had a higher linear attenuation coefficient. also the sample with 35%wt. filler had the highest linear attenuation coefficient and the lowest half value layer.conclusion: polymer composites that are produced by electrospinning method can be a good protection against gamma rays
