   a review on the use of nanofibers for the delivery of curcumin on cancer cell

چکیده    Aim and background: targeted drug delivery is one of the new methods for treating various diseases such as cancer. currently, various nanostructures such as nanoparticles, nanogels, nanofilms, metal organic frameworks and nanofibers can be used for targeted delivery of drugs to cancer cells. nanofibers are one-dimensional nanostructures with a diameter of less than 1000 nm, which are considered for long-term drug release in the body due to their unique features such as high surface-to-volume ratio, high porosity, controllable surface area and high drug absorption efficiency.methods: literature was reviewed and their findings was recapitulated.results and discussion: curcumin is a natural hydrophobic polyphenol found in the turmeric plant, which has many properties including anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-cancer, anti-alzheimer, anti-coagulant, anti-parasitic in medicine.conclusion in this study, polymer nanofibers synthesized by electrospinning method were used to encapsulate the drug curcumin in the treatment of stomach cancer. studies show that adding curcumin to electrospun nanofibers results in better solubility and greater release than curcumin alone. and it has overcome the hydrophobicity and low solubility of curcumin. therefore, it will be a good option in the future studies of researchers.
