   evaluation of cytotoxicity effects of tungsten disulfide nanoparticle on tnbc cell line

چکیده    Aim and background: the number of people with cancer in 2020 was 19.3 million and up to 10 million mortality was occurred. triple-negative breast cancer (tnbc) is the subtype of breast cancer that lacks target treatment, with poor prognosis. nanomedicine seeks to find new ways of conventional cancer diagnostics and treatment. recently tungsten disulfide (ws2) nanomaterial have attracted the attention of scientist. in this study the anti-cancerous effect of ws2-np on tnbc cell line was evaluated. methods: ws2-np was synthesized and characterized using uv-vis, dls and sem. to evaluation anti-cancer effects of ws2-np, mtt assay was done on mda-mb-231 cell line as a tnbc cancerous cells for 24 and 48 hour incubation time. results and discussion: maximum absorbance of ws2-np by uv-vis spectra at 780 nm, indicated the successful formation of nanoparticles. dls result showed excellent distribution with average diameter of 97 nm. sem data confirmed the results of uv-vis and dls. mtt assay has shown anti-cancer effect on tnbc cell line and the ic50 in 24h and 48h was119 and 72 μg/ml respectively. conclusion: the synthesis of nanoparticle with unique dispersion was obtained, the anti-cancer effect of ws2-np on tnbc cell line was confirmed. therefore this nanoparticle can be considered as a possible candidate for treatment of tnbc in future studies.
