چکیده    Aim and background water-soluble and biological-compatible qds have played an important role in a wide range of applications in biotechnology, medicine and other fields. hence, a number of surface functionalization schemes have been developed to make qds water soluble and biological-compatible and suitable for use in cell biology and immunoassay. in this study, the interaction of metal-chelating polymer with embedded cadmium telluride quantum dot and bovine serum albumin (bsa) was investigated by means of eem fluorescence (fl) spectrometry. methods: the polymer was synthesized using reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer polymerization, resulting in polymers with controllable molecular weights and low polydispersities. the use of diethylenetriamine allows obtaining hydrophilic polymers with amine functional groups available for conjugation with qds. interaction of cdte quantum dots coated with polymer with bovine serum albumin was investigated by eem fluorescence spectroscopy and analyzed by parafac methodresults and discussion: the fluorescence intensity of bsa decreased regularly with the increasing of qds concentration. the decrease of bsa fluorescence intensity was proved to be a kind of static quenching.also it doesn’t show any change in the 3d structure of bsa. conclusion: this water-soluble conjugate has the potential diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of the clinical application by using a fluorescent labeled drug carrier.
