Introduction: nowadays, the use of medicinal plants to overcome the side effects of regular breast cancer treatments is of great importance. many herbal compounds have been evaluated and investigated for breast cancer treatment, but they are unsteady in their activities. this limits their utilization in the medical or food industry. resveratrol (rv) derived from grape seeds is one of the herbal compounds whose effectiveness has been confirmed against breast cancer. methods:in the present study, a gelatin-coated nanoliposome containing rv was prepared for the in vitro permanence of its antioxidant and anticancer characteristics. the thin film method was utilized to synthesize rv-loaded gelatin-coated nanoliposomes (rgnl) and gelatin-coated nanoliposomes (gnl).results: the rv-loaded nanoliposomes (rnl) formulation shows the lowest particle size (79 nm). the size of the rv-containing nanoparticle was increased to 91 nm. drug loading (dl) and encapsulation efficiency (ee) were measured at 29.81% and 76.16%. this gelatin stabilizes the nanoliposome and rv and reduces the rv release rate. cytotoxicity of the nanoparticles was evaluated. conclusion: the fabricated system s biocompatibility was tremendous, and its cytotoxicity in breast cancer cells increased significantly
