   anti-cancer effects of nanoliposomes and nanogel containing rosemary essential oil on breast cancer cell line under in vitroconditions

چکیده    Aim and background: the development of new green drugs is crucial because of the side effects and resistance to chemotropic drugs. essential oils with anticancer activities are great resources for research and investigation.methods: in this study, ingredients of the used rosemary (rosmarinus officinalis l.) essential oil were identified using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (gc-ms) analysis. gc-ms analysis with six major components of α-pinene (24%) , eucalyptol (16.99%) , verbenone (8.79%), l-borneol(7.79%), camphor(6.87%), camphene(6.49%), limonene(4.31%). the anticancer effect of nanoemulsion and nano gel containing rosemary were reported.results and discussion: nanogel of rosemary was prepared by the addition of a gelling agent (carboxymethyl cellulose 2%) to its optimum nanoemulsion with a particle size of 185 nm. characterization of the nanoemulsion and nanogel including atr-ftir and reomethr were carried out. the potency of the nano formulations and nano gel was significantly more than essential oil on three examined cell lines containing (mcf7, breast cancer)conclusion: results showed that nanoemulsion containing rosemary could be considered chemo-preventative or anticancer agents in further in vivo studies
