Abstract:this paper aims to describe the adaptive volt-varregulation in ac islanded microgrids (img). in the way, the behavior of (q-v) caused by the influence of mismatched output impedances between four distributed energy resources (der)s is illustrated in a radial img controlled with a traditional droop structure and an improved virtual impedance adaptive droop by using consensus protocol- based multi-agent system (mas). a distributed averaging-based mas is simulated in the matlab/simulink to show q-v trade-of
