عناب از درختان مقاومی است که قابلیت رشد و تولید در زمین های کم آب و شور را دارد، توجه بیشتر به آن ضمن بالابردن ظرفیت تولید محصولات کشاورزی، در حفاظت از خاک نیز موثر است. تطابق و سازگاری این محصول با محیط و علاقه زیاد مردم به این گیاه باعث ترغیب کشاورزان به کاشت این گیاه شده است. تولید کشت بافت گیاهی عنابjujuba mill ziziphus رقم قائنات علاوه بر سرعت تکثیر بالاتر، مقاومت گیاه را به آفات ، بیماری ها و تنش های خشکی و شوری بالاتر می برد. به منظور تکثیر این گیاه ، مریستم های مورد نظر از گیاه عناب قائنات جدا شده و سپس استریل می شود. مریستم استریل شده را به محیط کشت موراشیگ اسکوگ (ms ) با غلظت های مختلفbap – (1 mgl) iaa((1-2-3-4-5 mgl کشت داده شدند. با افزایش میزان هورمون bap میانگین طول شاخه (3 سانتی متر) و نرخ تکثیر (3 عدد در هر جداکشت) بدست آمد و میزان رشد افزایش پیدا کردند.
