a method for ranking units based on dea and multi-criteria decision making techniques

This paper proposes a hybrid method for ranking decision-making units (dmus). the proposed method uses data envelopment analysis (dea) and vikor techniques to obtain a more flexible ranking of dmus. in this method, we first obtain a new production possibility set by defining the ideal unit and adding it to the set of observed units. then, using the russell model, we separately rank inputs and outputs of all dmus except the ideal unit. finally, with the help of the vikor method, which is one of the multi-criteria decision making techniques, we rank all the units. the presented method is preferable because it allows considering more suitable weights for each of the inputs and outputs.
