مناظره یکی از انواع ادبی است که پیشینه کهن در زبان و ادبیات فارسی و سایر تمدن های کهن از جمله بین النحرین ،یونان و هند دارد .در این گونه ادبی شاعران بزرگ و صاحب سبکی از گذشته تا به امروز طبع آزمایی کرده اند،از جمله اسدی توسی ،نظامی گنجوی و داستان سرایان پیرو او ،خواجوی کرمانی و پروین اعتصامی. در این شیوه بیان هنری، دو طرف با بحث و گفت و گو به بیان دیدگاه خود می پردازدند و در این بین گاهی گفت و گو میان دو حیوان،انسان،اشیا و... است، در مواردی توسط نویسنده دعوا و کش مکشی بین دو طرف ایجاد میشود تا مقصود و هدف نویسنده آشکار شود. در ادبیات معاصر فارسی ، پروین اعتصامی یکی از بزرگان فن مناظره به حساب می آید و یکی از وجوه بسیار مهم مناظره های او، کثرت و فراوانی آثار او در موضوعات و تصویر سازی های بسیار جذاب و گوناگون و همچنین از همه مهم تر عامه پسند هست.پروین بیشتر به موضوعات و مسائل اجتماعی و انسانی در آثار خود می پردازد که به همین خاطر آثار او دلچسب و مورد پذیرش عموم مردم واقع شده است.در این مقاله با روش توصیفی و تحلیلی به برسی لایه ها تصویر سازی،ویژگی های اخلاقی، انگیزه و نتیجه در چندی از آتار پروین اعتصامی که بر زبان حیوانات تکیه دارد میپردازیم
