This study aimed to investigate the immune factors and survival rate of western white shrimp fed with spirulina platensis compared to shrimp that did not receive this cyanobacteria. the survival rate and immune factors of shrimp fed with spirulina platensis were compared to the control treatment. for this purpose, 300 shrimp with an average weight of 30 to 35 grams were selected from a shrimp farm in bushehr. after ensuring their health, the adaptation process was carried out. the shrimp were divided into two treatment groups (150 each) consisting of 50 shrimp in three replicates (including a control group, a group fed with regular feed, and a group fed with spirulina-containing feed). after 90 days of feeding, changes in immune factors and survival rate were calculated and evaluated in the two groups. the results showed that the relative survival rate in the spirulina-fed treatment was not significantly different from the control and regular-feed treatments. however, immune factors such as sod, pod, po, tpp, and thc were significantly different between the spirulina-fed treatment and the control and regular-feed treatments. in general, it appears that spirulina platensis consumption improved the immune system of shrimp (p<0.05).
