چکیده    Humans have a profound impact on the planet s ecosystems. the unprecedented rates of human population growth have brought wild animals into increasing contact with humans. for some species of animals, appropriate responses to humans are likely to be critical for survival and reproductive success. although numerous studies have examined the effects of human activities on biodiversity and species distributions, relatively few have examined the effects of humans on the behavioral responses of animals during human-wildlife encounters. also, humans are the primary cause of wildlife decline. understanding the behavioral and cognitive processes that shape wildlife responses to humans is likely to be important in reducing the harmful effects of human activities. genetics can be important in population management decisions, especially for endangered species and faunal resources wildlife. genome editing plays a critical role in wildlife management. also, genome editing has shown significant improvements in yield, disease resistance, and other desirable traits. to date, a large number of genome-edited animals have been developed. crispr-cas9 technology, as a genome editing tool, can increase the number of animal genome modifications and produce highly complex genotypes. the application of the crispr/cas9 system makes it possible to manage the wildlife and environment by manipulating genes related to survival or disease resistance. although this technology has some benefits, but should not forget about its side effects due to genetic manipulation. so, it seems that such genome editing systems can only be used in endangered species but not in all species because maintaining a natural ecosystem is essential for the balanced survival of the animal population. it is recommended to consider different strategies to prevent the extinction of wildlife, especially captive populations. genetic management, alongside prevention of inbreeding, and other strategies need to be thoroughly investigated before they can be used in endangered animal populations.
