چکیده    In this study, the presence of antibodies against the camel pox (cpv) virus in the population of camels (camelus dromedarius) in the zabol region, sistan, and baluchestan province, iran was investigated using the elisa method. ninety clinically healthy female camels aged 18 to 72 months were bled from the jugular vein. antibodies against the camel pox virus were identified and titrated with a camel-specific elisa kit. out of 90 serum samples of camels, 45 camels were in the age group of 18 to 36 months and 45 camels were in the age group of 37 to 72 months. in the first age group, 6 cases were positive, and in the second age group, 7 cases were positive and a total of 13 positive cases were detected in the sample set. the results of the chi-square test showed that the positive and negative cases in the two age groups (18 to 36 months and 37 to 72 months) in female camels were not significantly different. sampling was performed in 5 areas adimi, zahak, kooshak, sefidabeh, and milonader. the results showed no significant difference between positive and negative cases in different regions (p> 0.05). positive and negative cases in the other areas according to the two age groups (18-36 months and 37-72 months) were not significantly different (p> 0.05). as a result, the regions (areas) have been not affected by the rate of camel pox antibody titer.
