   investigating knowledge about antibiotics use: a case study of students of higher education centers in kermanshah

چکیده    Antibiotics are one of the most common drugs used by the general public in developing countries. antibiotics are powerful drugs that can cause side effects and allergic reactions when taken. excessive use of antibiotics can disturb the normal function of the body and destroy the normal bacterial flora of the intestine or vagina. taking antibiotics can also lead to the selection of resistant bacteria, making subsequent infections more difficult to treat. antibiotic resistance caused by overuse is a major problem in the world and a significant threat to human and animal health. there is significant evidence that shows the important role of society in the increase and spread of antibiotic resistance. a descriptive-analytical questionnaire approved by the world health organization. (who) to evaluate the level of knowledge and attitude towards antibiotic resistance in both sexes, fields, and different levels of education of students of educational centers in kermanshah province, in two sections, a- including demographic questions (gender, field, and level of study) b-includes 10 and 6 questions, respectively, to measure the level of awareness and the type of attitude in 3 likert levels by applying a coefficient of 3 to 1 to convert the qualitative survey into a quantitative one, respectively, for the types of answers (agree, disagree, have no opinion), it is completed by the participants of the study through pours line on the platform of virtual networks (whatsapp and telegram) and knowingly without mentioning their names (anonymous). data analysis and the relationship between variables are done using spss (usa, chicago, spss 18 ver) with pearson correlation coefficient and logistic regression statistical method. standard deviation and percentage of difference with a 95% confidence interval are considered. the results showed that the knowledge and awareness of the students of the biological sciences group was significantly higher than the non-biological group about antibiotic resistance (p=value<0.05). also, graduate students had more knowledge than undergraduate students, although there was no statistically significant difference. also, no difference was seen in both sexes. it is necessary to provide continuous training in universities to improve the general health of the society.
