investigating knowledge of higher education student centers of kermanshah about hepatitis b disease

Hepatitis b is a viral infection that attacks the liver and can cause acute and chronic disease. the virus of this disease can cause both acute and chronic conditions. hepatitis b virus causes one of the most serious types of hepatitis. this disease is very important in most parts of the world, especially in developing countries, in terms of public health and its impact on the socio-economic status of society. a descriptive-analytical questionnaire approved by the world health organization. (who) to evaluate the level of knowledge and attitude towards the very dangerous disease hepatitis b in both sexes, fields, and different levels of education of students of educational centers in kermanshah province, in two sections, a- including demographic questions (gender, field, and level of study) b-includes 10 and 6 questions, respectively, to measure the level of awareness and the type of attitude in 3 likert levels by applying a coefficient of 3 to 1 to convert the qualitative survey into a quantitative one, respectively, for the types of answers (agree, disagree, have no opinion), it is completed by the participants of the study through pours line on the platform of virtual networks (whatsapp and telegram) and knowingly without mentioning their names (anonymous). data analysis and the relationship between variables are done using spss (usa, chicago, spss 18 ver) with pearson correlation coefficient and logistic regression statistical method. standard deviation and percentage of difference with a 95% confidence interval are considered. the results showed that the knowledge and awareness of the students of the biological sciences group was significantly higher than the non-biological group about the disease (p=value<0.05). also, graduate students had more knowledge than undergraduate students, although there was no statistically significant difference. also, no difference was seen in both sexes. it is necessary to provide continuous training in universities to improve the general health of the society.
