چکیده    Although there has been significant attention to artificial intelligence in various fields of medicine and veterinary science in recent years, its application in immunology dates back to the early 1990s. one of the earliest uses involved employing machine learning algorithms and analyzing proteomics data to identify patterns related to immune responses and predict protein structures. another notable aspect of ai application during this time was the use of mathematical models and machine learning algorithms to better understand the complex interactions within the immune system and to simulate the behavior of immune cells. since then, the use of artificial intelligence in immunology has expanded significantly, leading to the identification of biomarkers, prediction of treatment responses, and the design and development of vaccines.with advancements in biotechnologies, vast amounts of data have been collected in various fields, including genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, resulting in the emergence of a branch called immunomics due to the significance and extensive range of data in immunology. these data are abundant, complex, and sometimes incomplete. in other words, with technological advancements and the creation of diagnostic tools, a mass data is available now, which includes a large and increasing amounts of structured and unstructured data stored digitally. these data requires categorization, comparison, and complex analyses. artificial intelligence has specific applications in immunology that contribute to the improvement of research and development processes, disease diagnostics, and treatments. currently, areas that ai addresses in immunology include using predictive models for immune response evaluation, designing vaccines to identify effective antigens, diagnosing autoimmune diseases and other immune disorders through the analysis of clinical and laboratory data, and analyzing genomic, proteomic, and metabolomic data, as well as simulating immune systems for a better understanding of immune function under various conditions and personalizing treatment.research in these areas continues, and it is expected that with technological advancements and access to more data, the applications of artificial intelligence in immunology will expand. the goal of this discussion is to explain the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and its value in the field of immunology.
