In the past decade, the issue of digital transformation, which includes the discussion of recent industrial revolutions (industry 4.0 and industry 5.0), has become the focus of attention of all scientific, industrial and policy centers of the world. in line with this, the new developments in artificial intelligence and its related products have attracted much attention. but how much these two can affect the research, education, and practice on infection and immune systems? we try to answer at least some parts of this question. in particular, the recent trends on these issues together with some approaches and some practical examples and tools will be addressed.
