چکیده    Maintaining oral health and hygiene is essential for the prevention of dental diseases in both humans and animals. periodontal and endodontic diseases in pet rabbits manifest as periapical infections that can often lead to osteomyelitis and the development of dental abscesses. in cases of dental infections and abscesses, bacterial etiology can be demonstrated by culture and identification of the bacteria. published data on the bacteriology of these infections are lacking and clinical culture results are often ambiguous, making antibiotic selection difficult. this study aims to gather information until august 2024 about bacteria in rabbit odontogenic abscess in one paper to facilitate veterinarians’ job for treatment and prescription of antibiotics for their patients. we search for all articles in this matter from year 1975 to 2024 using ai and google scholar and data from numerous articles and books were extracted. as a summary we can say pseudomonas spp. were found in almost all isolates following streptococcus spp. and staphylococcus and after them pasteurella spp. in 4th place. fusobacterium spp., escherichia coli and bacteroides spp. were found in some researches and klebsiella spp., proteus spp. and peptostreptococcus spp. were reported in a few articles while corynebacterium spp., preyotella spp., actinomyces israelii, and arcanobacterium haemolyticum were only reported once in articles as the most common bacteria isolates.
