چکیده    Minocycline is a broad-spectrum semi-synthetic antibiotic which has recently been more focused on the non-antibiotic properties of this drug. also, methylprednisolone is a corticosteroid drug that has anti-inflammatory and suppressive effects on the immune system. nlrp3 is a gene that plays a key role in innate immunity. drug targeting of nlrp3 and its signaling has shown an effective role in improving the condition of some diseases in animal models. in this study, we used 25 rats in 5 different groups (n= 5), including the control group, the lps receiving group, the lps and minocycline receiving group, the lps and methylprednisolone receiving group, and the minocycline receiving group. lps was injected in the subplantar area of the foot and drugs were given by gavage. we measured nlrp3 gene expression by qpcr in these 5 study groups, and in this experiment, the anti-inflammatory properties of minocycline and methylprednisolone and their effect on nlrp3 gene were investigated. the test results showed that the gene expression decreased after the administration of minocycline and methylprednisolone compared to the group that was only prescribed lps. it was seen that minocycline, like methylprednisolone, has anti-inflammatory properties and the administration of both drugs significantly decreases nlrp3 gene and inflammation. due to the antiseptic effects of minocycline, as well as its low risk and maximum absorption by oral route, this drug can be a suitable alternative for the treatment of diseases caused by inflammation, as well as inflammatory problems associated with bacterial infection.
