investigation of new methods in early diagnosis and prevention of abortion caused by toxoplasmosis

Toxoplasmosis is one of the most important congenital infections that can cause eye and brain lesions in babies and leave lasting effects. transmission of maternal infection through the placenta is seen in nearly one third of mothers who are infected with toxoplasmosis for the first time during pregnancy, although they are often without symptoms, they transmit the disease to the fetus, infection in the first months of pregnancy for the fetus is dangerous and can even cause the death of the fetus during pregnancy or cause neurological damage and more severe complications after birth. also, this protozoan causes severe lesions in babies born as an opportunistic disease, which can be fatal. in iran, infection caused by this parasite is also common, on the shores of the caspian sea, more than 50%, in khuzestan, more than 10%, in azerbaijan, more than 30%, and in kurdistan, more than 6%, in fars, more than 12% of people have antibodies in their blood. have this disease, since the cause of this disease is an obligate intracellular protozoan and its main host is the cat, so it can have intermediate hosts such as humans, horses, goats, sheep, dogs, mice, this study by examining the identification methods currently, the cause of the disease and the factors affecting the spread of infection to humans intends to take a new step in increasing fertility in iran by providing new solutions to help early diagnosis and prevention of abortions and the spread and treatment of the disease.
