چکیده
|
Brucella causes a disease that affects both domestic and wild animals, and can be transmitted to people through many means. this disease has persisted as an endemic condition in numerous nations, including iran. based on the available statistics, the disease has a significant prevalence in iran, particularly in hamedan and markazi regions. the economic impact of this disease varies among countries, contingent upon the level of livestock farming in the specific geographic region, the type of livestock involved, and the prevalence of the disease. the primary consequence of this condition is a decrease in milk supply and lambing rates due to abortion. this study aims to examine the prevalence of brucellosis and compare the incidence of the disease in iranian sheep and goats. this systematic review investigation on the prevalence of brucellosis in iran was undertaken by scanning the google scholar, google sciencedirect, and pubmed-sid-iranmedex databases. examining the tests conducted on 3263 sheep and 1386 goats showed that a total of 135 (4.13%) sheep and 68 (4.9%) goats are affected by brucellosis, and most of those affected by this disease are among goats. to mitigate the risk of brucella disease, it is advisable to identify, vaccinate, and remove diseased animals from both vulnerable groups. this preventive measure is crucial due to the significant economic losses associated with the disease.
