چکیده

Salmonella dublin (s. dublin) is a significant contributor to bovine salmonellosis. it is also considered one of the most widespread foodborne zoonosis in industrialized and developing countries. it can affect cattle health, producing high morbidity and mortality in young calves. s. dublin is difficult to control and eradicate from herds, as it can be shed from clinically normal animals. in iran, cases of bovine salmonellosis have been reported from all parts of the country and are still spreading, which shows the high importance of this disease in iran. forty male balb/c mice were randomly divided into four equal groups and inactivated vaccine was administered as follows: group 1: immunized by injection, group 2: immunized by oral, group 3: immunized by injection and oral vaccine at the same time, and group 4: negative control. injected vaccines were administered with alum adjuvant and oral vaccines were prescribed with chitosan adjuvant. immunization with a dose of 50 × 106 cfu was carried out in two stages with an interval of 21 days. one month after the last immunization, all mice were challenged with the live rough s. dublin strain by injection. serological evaluations show a significant difference in the vaccinated groups compared to the control group(p<0.05). in all vaccinated groups the high relative percent survival (rps) was significantly different from the control group, and the best group in terms of prs was group 3 with 90% survival. s. dublin severely affects cattle and human health. more research is still needed on the effectiveness of strategies that could be implemented in dairy facilities to prevent and control s. dublin. we developed an efficient inactivated vaccine against s. dublin, which not only induced humoral immunity, but also enhanced initial innate immune response for long-term protection.
